Our latest project took us to an attic study room, where the challenge was as unique as the space itself. The room boasted windows on all four walls, making it a sun-drenched sanctuary during the day. While the abundant natural light was a welcome feature, it came with a downside—an unbearable increase in temperature that made the space quite uncomfortable.
After exploring various window treatment solutions, we determined that roman blinds would offer the best blend of functionality and affordability. Their ease of use and budget-friendly nature made them an ideal choice for our client’s needs.
However, this wasn’t just about cooling the room; it was also an opportunity to infuse the client’s personality into the space.
Instead of opting for the standard neutral fabrics, the client chose a vibrant pumpkin border paired with a dark brown base for two sides of the windows, and a reverse colour scheme for the other two sides.
This creative decision not only complemented the room’s decor but also added a burst of personality and warmth that reflected the client’s unique style.
The installation of these bespoke roman blinds yielded immediate results. The temperature in the study was significantly reduced, making the space much more comfortable for work and relaxation. Beyond the practical benefits, the rich colors of the blinds brought a touch of individuality and flair to the room, aligning perfectly with the client's vision.
