Blafink x Table Guy's Slab Sofa

The adage 'love thy neighbour' rings true in the case of our first collaboration with Table Guy.

Here’s how this “meet cute” happened: Formerly our neighbours at Richfield Industrial Centre (our first ever Blafink shop), the folks from Table Guy started sending customers looking for build to order sofas to us. Over time, we also realised we serviced the same pool of customers, often bumping into each other during our delivery runs.

Teaming up was a no-brainer as this addresses our customers’ demand for both sofa upholstery and woodwork services. Our very first baby, the Slab Sofa, showcases our expertise and knowledge in bespoke furniture

The Slab

Crafted from American black walnut and finished with a natural, raw edge along its length, the Slab features a detail not commonly found in panelled wood. You’ll also notice the unique textures preserved in the wood, which makes the piece all the more special.

The Sofa

As for the sofa, it features an elegant piping cord that you can choose to customise in a contrasting fabric (in this case, the piping is wrapped in black faux leather.) Better yet, the cushions are upholstered in Aquaclean, a high-performance fabric that facilitates easy cleaning.

Best of both worlds

Let’s talk about how you can create a truly unique piece of Blafink x Table Guy furniture. For starters, you can choose between two sizes for the solid wood slab:

- W200 x D90cm
- W240 x D90cm

There is also the option to have a shorter sofa component, or a longer one for more sitting capacity. You can even opt for a variety of upholstery colours with Blafink—it all depends on your needs!

The Slab Sofa is priced from $3,850 for a 2.1m version, and $4,650 for 2.4m. The 2.1m version is currently on display at The Table Guy's Tan Boon Liat outlet and we're working on a 2.4m display piece in our new Tai Seng Guideshop. Hit us up at play@blafink.com for more information.
